The weekend apartment is a small well-located apartment. It is designed to host a middle age couple during weekends, so its purpose is to be as practical as beautiful. The wood floor is a tool to create the impression of a bigger space, as we have the same material on the wall and part of the ceiling. The furniture plays an important role in this project. Amoung the choices, there is a Minotti sofa, in beige fabric and a coffe table based on elliptical shapes with glossy Ebony paired with the upper top in satin-finished bronze metal. The combination of modern furniture with metallic accents for a touch of glamour, pieces with technical lighting and wood cladding helps it feel more casual and fun. The client’s need for a large wardrobe leaded to a wood plaqued volume that serves as a headboard and wardrobe which comes in addition to the modern smoky glass doors and metal storage. The colour palette chosen for the bathroom includes white marble, dark grey textured Vescom wallpaper and oak finish to help draw a simple and clean design into the space. A large mirror combined with linear recessed light was used to help amplify lightness as well as to give a sense of additional space. The environment is attractive and welcoming, giving users a social and living experience of great quality and warmth.
